Amigurumi palm-sized house key chain

Hello there, let’s just say lazing around in the house might have inspired me to make this palm sized house key chain. The pattern’s a no big fuss and might only take you a day to complete this entire project.

For the effect of tiles, I’ve used crocodile stitch. Just follow this video, including the stitch count and you should be able to achieve it. Instead of 5 dc at each side of the scallop I’ve used only four since it’s a tiny little project.

Round 1: 8 sc in a magic circle. (8)
Round 2: 2sc in each. (16)
Round 3: [sc in the sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 8 times. (24)

Round 16: sc around. (24)
Round 17: [sc in the next sc, dec in the next] * 8 times. (16)
Finish and leave a long tail to sew the body to the head

Rabbit’s eyes:

I’m not sure if I did full justice to her eyes, I wanted some naive looking ones and my husband says it makes her look like an owl.
Using black coloured yarn,
Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2 sl st in each sc around. (12)
Adding the white coloured yarn,
Make 8 sc in a semi circle.

Rabbit’s ears:

Using pink coloured yarn, the ears are worked in single crochet through and I hope it makes sense to just put down the number of stitches in each row if it is 1sc in each sc
Row 1: Chain 7 (6)
Row 2: (6)
Row 3: (6)
Row 4: 2sc(inc),1sc in each sc(4), 2sc(inc). (8)
Row 5: (8)

Row 11: (12)
Row 12: (12)
Row 13: 2sc(inc),1sc in each sc(10), 2sc(inc). (14)

Row 20: 1sc(dec),1sc in each sc(4), 1sc(dec). (6)
Using gray coloured yarn single crochet around the ears. I have a feeeling it would look better with a furry yarn.

Rabbit’s legs:

Using gray colored yarn and working in rounds,
Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12)

Round 10: 1sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 1sc till the end(6). (12)
Finish, stuff and sew all the parts to its body.

Rabbit’s skirt:

Using pink colored yarn, join in at the region where the top of the dress meets the undergarments of the bunny.
Round 1: sl st around. (40)
Round 2: [sc in the next 4 sl st, 2sc in the next sl st]* 8 times (48).
Round 3: [sc in the next 5sc, 2sc in the next] * 8 times. (56).
Round 4: [sc in the next 6sc, 2sc in the next] * 8 times. (64).
Round 5: [sc in the next 7sc, 2sc in the next] * 8 times. (72).
Round 6: [sc in the next 8sc, 2sc in the next] * 8 times. (80).
Now for the scalloped trim at the end,
[sc, chain 2, skip 1] repeat around the skirt.
For the collar I have joined in the pink colored yarn in a similar manner at the neck, and worked in rounds till it looked like one.

Airplane Amigurumi

Hello airplane!

IMG_0298.PNG

I made this airplane for an adorable little guy, although now I’m doubting if it’s baby safe. Should work into safety measures, but posting it cos I’d been wanting to post it for a while now. You can make this using an easy peasy amigurumi pattern I’ve come up with.

Yarn : Gray & Blue Acrylic yarn
Hook : 2.5mm
Note : Work in continuous rounds, do not join.

Airplane nose & body:
Starting with the gray coloured yarn for its nose,
Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 3: [sc in the sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (18)
Round 4: [sc in the next 2sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (24)
Round 5: [sc in the next 3sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (30)
Round 6: sc around. (30)
Round 7: sc around. (30)
Join in with the blue coloured yarn,
Round 8: [sc in the next 4sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (36)
Round 9: sc around. (36)
Round 10: sc around. (36)
Round 11: [sc in the next 5sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (42)
Round 12: sc around. (42)
Round 13: sc around. (42)
Round 14: [sc in the next 5sc, dec in the next 2sc] * 6 times. (36)
Round 15: sc around. (36)
Round 16: sc around. (36)

You can choose to do this before or after making the body of the plane. But I prefer to make and join this as I go.

Airplane Amigurumi

The airplane is now baby safe, and is an ideal gift/toy for any baby pilots and older ones. However I decided I’ll go fancy and add in the retro effect to the plane with twin blade propellers and top wing. ( Excuse me if I’m naming them all wrong)

Top front wing:
Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 3: [sc in the sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (18)
Round 4: [sc in the next 2sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (24)
Round 5: sc around. (24)
:
Round 33: sc around. (24)
Round 34: [sc in the next 2sc, dec in the next 2sc] * 6 times. (18)
Round 35: [sc in the next sc, dec in the next 2sc] * 6 times. (12)
Round 46: dec in every two sc around. (6)

Front Propeller:
Round 1: Magic Circle, 4sc into the circle & then pull it close. (4)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (8)
Round 3: sc around. (8)
:
Round 7: sc around. (8)
Round 8: dec in every two sc around. (4)
Round 9: sc around. (4)
Round 10: sc around. (4)
Round 11: 2sc in each sc around. (8)
Round 12: sc around. (8)
:
Round 16: sc around. (8)
Round 17: dec in every two sc around. (4)
Although the propeller was a bit twisty, I thought it looked cool that way. Now that I look at it, if anyone has a better pattern please let me know. 🙂

Teddy Amigurumi Key-chain- #womensday

Hello teddy girl!

I made this little amigurumi teddy key chain in a day and I can’t believe how cute it turned out to be, considering the amount of time it took, making it. A friend of mine had recently got through her post graduation with  great success and I couldn’t think of a better gift for her. Although, it’s not my own pattern, I loved how easy it was to follow.

Crochet lion amigurumi – Pattern (Free)

Hello crochet lion,

Rawr! I’m made this little guy for my adorable little nephew. Not sure if he’d appreciate a plush toy, but I know for sure that if he had a spirit animal lion would be it. So here’s my pattern for this lovely little toy.

Measure:

Height: 21cms.
Crochet hook size: 2.5mm
Yarn : 2 skeins of light brown coloured acrylic yarn
1 skein of dark brown coloured yarn
1 skein of white colored yarn

Pattern notes:

The pattern is worked in continuous rounds without joining at the end of each round. The semi colon between rounds indicates similar pattern is to be followed for the rounds between them. The mane is rooted*.
Rooted:
Follow the pattern under mane for the mane cap. To make the hair like appearance for the mane, cut yarn to strips of desired length to be worked into almost every sc on the mane cap. Fold the yarn in half; make a knot similar to the larks head knot in macramé into the mane cap.

Eyes:
Using black colored yarn,
Magic circle, chain 1, 6sc in the circle. Join.
Make two of these and sew it onto the head.
Then thread white colored yarn to a needle and make a single stitch on it so that it appears like the light reflecting through his eyes.
Do the same for both eyes.
Now thread the yarn used for his body to a needle and make parallel stitches(like satin stitch in embroidery), covering quarter of his eyes. These should appear like the eyelid, almost making him a droopy eyed lion.

Tail:

Using tan colored yarn
Magic circle, chain 1, 6sc into the circle. Make several rounds of 6sc till your desired length. Make a 2sc increase for the next two rows and finish off. Sew the tail to the body. Root little strips brown colored yarn to the end of his tail.
