Bottle cozy/cover using macrame

Hi there!

IMG_20180207_213139112

I find macrame a good substitute for chunky yarn projects which need not have to be warm and fuzzy. Macrame is quite sturdy and lasts longer than yarn.

Crochet Hook: 5.5mm
Yarn: Macrame in purple

Round 1: Magic Circle, 6sc into the circle & then pull it close. (6)
Round 2: 2sc in each sc around. (12)
Round 3: [sc in the sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (18)
Round 4: [sc in the next 2sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (24)
Round 5: [sc in the next 3sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (30)
Round 6: [sc in the next 4sc, 2sc in the next sc] * 6 times. (36)
Round 7: sc around on the reverse. (36)
Round 8: sc around. (36)

Round 18: sc around. Finish and weave the ends and seal it with fire. (36)

Then used needle and four strands of white yarn to sew the cross stitch heart, now my baby’s bottle is safer than ever. And bonus, I spent a little over an hour to do this.
